Is the ReBuilder FDA approved?
Yes, ReBuilder is registered with the FDA under dual 1987 5210K submissions, one for TENS and one for EMS, and has a reported distribution in excess of 70,000 worldwide.
Is the ReBuilder or treatment process painful?
In a word NO, not at all.
The Rebuilder signal feels like a pulsating tingle, some of our customers have described the sensation like an ‘internal massage’.
Should you increase the intensity of the ReBuilder unit, every time the small indicator light on the ReBuilder is lit, your muscles will feel a slight twitching sensation, which is very comfortable.
Should you wish to use the EMS setting to strengthen and reinforce your muscles, you’ll feel a stronger contraction that lasts for 6 seconds, then relaxes for 6 seconds and your muscles will be strengthened in this way.
You can manually adjust the setting on the device to suit your own comfortability.
How will I know when the ReBuilder is working?
When the indicator light on the face of the ReBuilder lights up this means that the device is on and is generating a pulse.
In order to test the wires that lead to the signal pads, hold one signal pad in each hand (you can ask someone who has a healthy nervous system to do this for you) and manually increase the intensity setting on the ReBuilder until a pulsating sensation is felt. If necessary you can wet the pads to increase the conductivity.
With regards to whether your ReBuilder has reduced your systems, this depends on your particular set of symptoms. Normally, during your 30 minute treatment session, you pain will totally vanish and you will experience a significant reduction in pain for the following 2-4 hours. Your symptoms and pain will gradually diminish with each treatment thereafter.
The peripheral nerves need time to restore and regenerate. The brain will need to re-connect and re-learn to interpret the new incoming signals from your now healthy nerves.
If you’re taking any medication for your neuropathic pain, your results may take longer until and unless you’re able to reduce your intake with the help your doctor. This is because painkillers work by blocking the nerve signals and unfortunately, actually make your neuropathy condition worse in the long run.
Can the ReBuilder be used for treating Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy
and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome?
Yes, the ReBuilder will relieve the chronic burning pain and sensation as well as reduce the swelling associated with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.
How long will I need to use the ReBuilder for?
You should use the ReBuilder twice a day – for 30 minutes each time for three weeks, after this time you will notice a huge difference in your symptoms and you will experience very little or no neuropathic pain – whatsoever.
Our bodies are all different and so are our neuropathic conditions, some people experience burning and tingling sensations in arms and legs due to their neuropathic condition, others experience numbness and loss of balance, therefore the setting and frequency of each ReBuilder treatment will be different for each individual. Therefore we recommend that you follow the instructions in the booklet that come with your device. We also recommend that you set the frequency according to what feels comfortable for you.
Are there any instances/conditions when the ReBuilder is not safe to use?
Do not use the ReBuilder without consulting your doctor, if you have the following conditions:
- A pacemaker or a defibrillator for your heart condition
- Are pregnant
- Suffering from Thrombosis (blood clot)
Are there any areas of the body where the ReBuilder should not be used?
Yes, do not use the ReBuilder in or near the neck area, on or around the heart area and on or near the genital areas.
Is it better to use the ReBuilder in the morning or the evening?
The ReBuilder treatment sessions can be carried out at your convenience. Each session should be at least 5 hours apart and we recommend a one session in the morning and your second session to be carried out in the evening after 6pm.
What will happen if I use the ReBuilder too often for too long?
You may experience muscle soreness and tiredness if you use your device at a higher intensity and for prolonged periods of time. In this case you should stop using the device for a few days and wait for your muscles to recover. When you do commence your treatment you should start with a lower frequency and slowly build your way up to higher frequencies.
What’s the recommended, prescribed amount of time to use the ReBuilder for?
We recommend that you have two ReBuilder treatment sessions each day, one 30 minute session should take place in the morning and another 30 minute session should take place in the evening. There should be at least 5 hours in between each treatment session.
We recommend that you continue with your ReBuilder treatment sessions in this way for at least three weeks, after which you will notice a huge reduction in your neuropathic symptoms and pain if not completely eliminated.
After three weeks you can customise your treatment sessions to suit you, you may want to continue with two 30 minute sessions per day or decrease your sessions to just one a day or one every other day. This is completely individual to you and your experience with the ReBuilder and how much time your nerves take to strengthen. The aim of the ReBuilder is to strengthen and re-build your nerves and muscles, everyone’s body and neuropathic condition is different and therefore you will know after three weeks how you wish to proceed with your sessions.
What if I don’t have 30 minutes to use the ReBuilder, can I use it for a shorter time?
Yes, you can use the ReBuilder for shorter periods, however in our experiments and experience two 30 minute sessions every morning and evening for at least three weeks have produced the best and most optimum results.
Do I have to try all the different methods of using the ReBuilder, e.g. gloves, socks and gel etc…
No, you can start with the footbath and adhesive pads that come with the actual ReBuilder device an d progress onto the garments and you become more accustomed and experience with your ReBuilder device and treatment sessions.
Do the ReBuilder garments offer the same stimulation as the footbath?
Yes, the garments perform the same function as the footbath and depend completely on your preference, some people experience better results with the garments whilst others favour the footbath or pads.
What if my ReBuilder device breaks or stops working?
ReBuilder carries a 5 years warranty against workmanship. If you’re ReBuilder stops working properly you can return the device to us and we will either repair or replace it at our discretion and return it back to you. We will also pay for the return shipping charge.
To our credit, ReBuilder devices manufactured in 1988 are still in perfect working order.
Any non-workmanship failures or customer damage failures will be considered on an individual basis.
